Root Canal Treatment Case
Root canal treatment
CASE 05
Root Canal Treatment
BEFORE
AFTER
- Treatment Details
- Removed and cleaned out all the old medication and bacteria inside the root canal, then filled it with the latest dental cement, “MTA material”, which has excellent antibacterial and sealing properties. At the 3-month follow-up after treatment, the area of inflammation at the root tip (the dark shadow) had become smaller, confirming that the surrounding bone was regenerating and healing. *MTA material is strongly alkaline with a high antibacterial effect, and significantly lowers the risk of recurrence.
- Treatment Period / Sessions
- About 1.5 to 2 months (around 4 to 5 visits) Follow-up: 3 to 6 months after treatment
- Cost
- ¥29,700 (tax included) and up (breakdown: MTA material ¥22,000 + root filling material ¥7,700). *A CT diagnostic fee (¥3,960) and the cost of a crown are charged separately.
- Risks & Side Effects
- Temporary pain or swelling may occur during treatment or immediately afterwards. If the shape of the root is complex, or the lesion is too large, surgical treatment may be needed, and there is also some risk that the tooth may not fully heal and extraction becomes necessary.
